This August, summer camp comes to the Big Easy and it’s all grown up.
Sleeping bags and bug spray? No way. Stay in style. Forget crafts. We’re getting hands on with real art and local artists. Who needs canoes? We’ve got culinary adventures with one of the South’s best chefs in a city that lives to eat. Cocoa and tall tales by the campfire? We’ve got local spirits, cocktails and a true Voodoo Queen who tells it like it is.
These weekend packages are priced for two campers to a room (so bring your bestie). They pair exclusive up-close and personal experiences led by some of our favorite co-conspirators with adventures around town and plenty of free time to explore and play on your own.
Plus, you don’t have to cry at the end of camp because that third night is free. That’s what we call lagniappe around here.
To book these exclusive packages, call 504-599-2113 or email our Camp Counselor Martha here to reserve your spot or answer all your questions.
August 2nd – 5th:
Welcome, campers, to one of the city’s biggest weekends for art! White Linen Night is when all the galleries on Julia Street open their doors and the streets fill with folks dressed in traditional summer Southern white linen for a gallery hop of epic proportions. We’re getting hands on with our friends Cat and Colin from Where Y’art at their gallery on Royal Street in the Marigny making headdresses – a true local artform – with Ellen McComber. You’ll meet our summer Artist in Residence at our White Linen Night gallery opening party and tour The Historic New Orleans Collection’s new exhibition, “Art of the City: Postmodern to Post-Katrina.”

She’s the creative force in the kitchen at our own Compère Lapin and you’ll get a personal demo from the master herself. And, tap into history with a walking tour of St. Louis No. 1, the oldest cemetery in New Orleans and the resting places of the city’s legendary founders, with our friends at Lucky Bean.
